Bio
Aylar started learning the violin at her community music service with Michael Rogers at age 10. Within 3 years she was awarded places in the National Children’s Orchestra, The London School’s Symphony Orchestra and The Junior Royal Academy of Music. For four years she studied with Chika Robertson (Violin) and Francesca Bruns (piano) and went on to win various school, borough and regional competitions before being accepted into The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to study with Yu Yasuraoka. In her 4th year Aylar was accepted on a study abroad placement with The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre to study with Sigrid Kuulmann (Violin) and Anto Pett (Piano) before completing her studies in 2012.
Aylar has worked with a variety of conductors and soloists: Sir Colin Davis, Sir Charles Mackerras, Leif Segerstam, Tamás Vásáry, Alexander Markov to name but a few. Her session work experience has seen her work and perform with a wide range of artists including film composers, Ollie Howell and Tom Hodge, Indian pop sensation Babbu Maan and Iranian artist Sattar amongst others.
Her work as a composer has seen her compositions reach semi-finals of international competitions and she has written music that has featured at both The Leicester Square Theatre and The Globe. More recently she has performed as a roaming electric violinist across the Channel Islands for various clients and is currently writing a classical crossover EP to be released in Summer 2025.
